Notification Settings

NotchBio can notify you about pipeline completions, SRA imports, uploads, and project invitations.

Notification Channels

Section titled “Notification Channels”

In-appNotifications appear in the bell icon in the navbar
EmailNotifications sent to your registered email
BrowserDesktop push notifications (requires permission)

Configuring Notifications

Section titled “Configuring Notifications”
  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type on/off per channel
  3. Changes save automatically

Notification Types

Section titled “Notification Types”
  • Pipeline complete — When a pipeline step finishes running
  • SRA import complete — When an SRA data import finishes
  • Upload complete — When a file upload batch completes
  • Project invite — When someone invites you to a project

Browser Notifications

Section titled “Browser Notifications”

To enable browser notifications:

  1. Click the bell icon in the navbar
  2. Click Enable browser notifications
  3. Allow the browser permission prompt
  4. Notifications appear even when the tab isn’t active
